Sometimes you come across a website that has one or more files that you would like to store on your computer. For this type of situations accounts with WGET.

This program proceeds to download any file you want of those that are present on a particular website, allowing you to save even the entire page on your own hard drive to enjoy it when you have no Internet connection.

WGET's operation is based on the use of the command line, an interface through which you can stop and resume downloads, set a figure associated with retries and configure a series of process parameters. All downloads can be done through proxy.

WGET supports both passwords and SSL and TLS cryptographic protocols. It also supports FTP, HTTPS and HTTP.
